About

About the Blog:  When I began staying at home in May of 2012 I started posting updates about the kids onto Facebook, and titled them “Diary of a mom.” So many people enjoyed the posts, that I decided to turn it into a full time blog.  The main focus of the blog is to share my experiences of being a stay at home mom, and the challenges that arise from trying to raise three children.

About our family:

Michaela:  I’m 36 years old and was a full time stay at home mom for 3 years.  In the fall of 2015 I went back to work part time at our children’s elementary school.  I’m married to my highschool sweetheart, and we’ve spent the last 15 years building a strong relationship as we raise our family together.

Matt:  Matt is 39 years old, and works for a local company.  He’s a fun loving soul, and enjoys nothing more than spending his weekends at home chilling with the family.

Brendan:  Brendan is 12 years old and is started middle school this fall.  He has Aspergers  which is a form of autism.   He is a wonderful and caring child, but struggles with understanding social norms which can cause him problems.

Cameron: Cameron is 7 years old, and in 2nd grade.  He has been diagnosed with ADHD.  It can make him a handful at times, but ultimately he has a heart of gold.

Kaylee:  Kaylee is 5 years old, and started kindergarten this fall.  If ever there were a princess, she would be it.  She lives under the delusion that the world does and should revolve around her.  She’s got a streak of independence that I previously thought impossible in someone her size.
